Episode 4
As the Golden Week holiday period approaches and the mood in town turns festive, Minato (Hiromi Nagasaku) faces the anniversary of her late husband Wataru’s (Junpei Goto) death, stirring up a long-held regret.
At Yokota Sushi Academy, a French exchange student, César (Jua), joins the class, bringing a burst of energy. The week’s theme is shellfish, and as Minato struggles to open scallops without damaging them, she’s reminded just how difficult it is to draw out what’s inside.
At César’s welcome party, his candid talk about his dreams encourages Tateishi (Shiro Sano) and Kurumi (First Summer Uika) to open up as well. But Minato can’t quite join in, and finds herself feeling out of place.
Meanwhile, things take a darker turn around Oedo (Kenichi Matsuyama). A woman calling herself Mio (Shiori Doi) pressures him with threats of drastic action—and, for some reason, he also ends up looking after a pug…
