Seinan Koreisha Adult Day Care
A new day care program for older adults has launched at the Seinan Senior Citizen Center in South Los Angeles.
Seinan Koreisha Senior Care, a nonprofit organization licensed by the State of California, began offering day care services in August.
The program is available for a fee in both English and Japanese.
Activities include exercise, music, cooking, calligraphy, and karaoke. Participants can also receive professional guidance on medical care, mental health, and social services.
To mark the launch of the program, a donation presentation ceremony was held at the Seinan Senior Citizen Center on Friday, September 18.
The donation was made by Keiro, a nonprofit organization providing services to older adults in the Japanese American community.
Keiro President Beverly Ito presented an $86,000 donation to the center.
Beverly Ito then toured the day care center’s programs and spent time with the staff and participants.
The donation will be used to repair the parking gate, install security equipment, and make other improvements to the center.
