Junpei Natsume, our protagonist, is portrayed by Hidetoshi Nishijima. He was the star of the Academy Award’s Best International Feature Film winner, “Drive My Car”.

Natsume is a talented maestro (conductor) that has collaborated with many famous orchestras, but due to a certain incident 5 years ago, his family has left him. Natsume himself also left the music industry, but one days returns to Japan after many decades to become a local orchestra conductor.

Hibiki, his daughter, is portrayed by Mana Ashida. A total opposite of her father, she has parted ways with her father after the incident 5 years ago and is living a music-free life. With her father suddenly returning, they begin their awkward life together.

An awkward father and his daughter that can’t be honest with him stars in this tale of family love. Look forward to the passionate human drama, “Sayonara Maestro!”
