More than 140 companies participated to promote their products.<\/p>\n<p>Mutual Trading also introduced their newest easy to make and high quality gyoza and beef bowls.<br \/>\nThis is in response to the labor shortage problem in the restaurant industry.<\/p>\n<p>Miyazaki beef and other high-end wagyu were introduced, and long lines were formed to try the samples. Frozen fatty tuna using Super-Frozen technology to preserve its freshness also called attention.<\/p>\n<p>The Sake Pavilion had 52 booths, including 42 were from Japan.<br \/>\nTakara Sake USA that are known for their \u201cSho chiku bai\u201d brand introduced their newest bourbon barrel aged Junmai sake.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, a selection of sparkling sake, ranging from premium to more affordable options, as well as a variety of cocktails made with shochu, were offered.<br \/>\nFrom traditional sake to new styles, and from major brands to products from small breweries, a wide variety of offerings were available to meet the diverse needs of the attendees.<\/p>\n<p>The customary Ceramic Fair also happened outside foodstuffs being introduced, and names being engraved on to kitchen knives by the metal engravers was a must-have.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme of the expo was \u201cThe Essence of WA &#8211; Bridging Cultures and Future Through Japanese Cuisine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the venue, different workshops and seminars of: pairing sake with sake cups, chopsticks making, and fashioning takeout boxes from furoshiki cloths were available introducing different Japanese food related culture.<\/p>\n<p>About 2,600 people attended the event, and it ended in great success.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Keiro no Hi Festival 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Saturday, September 21st was the \u201cKeiro no Hi Festival\u201d at JANM.<\/p>\n<p>This event is held by the non-profit organization, Keiro that provides services to Japanese American seniors.<br \/>\nEvery year, Keiro holds this free community event in honor of the Japanese national holiday, and this year is the 7th time.<\/p>\n<p>About 600 pre-registered participants that are over the age of 60 attended the event from LA, Ventura, and OC using free transportation service.<\/p>\n<p>First, Keiro CEO, Beverly Ito stated her greeting and appreciation to the attendees.<br \/>\nThe Consul General Kenko Sone and Assembly member, Al Muratsuchi also giving their greetings, and City of Council member, Kevin de Le\u00f3n handing Certificate of Appreciation to the recipients.<\/p>\n<p>Complimentary bento boxes were served during lunch time.<br \/>\nEntertainment like taiko, ukulele, and singing performances were done onstage, and seniors enjoyed their time together by taking pictures with each other.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<li>MTC JFRE2024<\/li>\n<li>Keiro no Hi Festival 2024<\/li>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":21220,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"socaljapan_category":[336],"socaljapan_tag":[],"class_list":["post-21218","socaljapan","type-socaljapan","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","socaljapan_category-2024-10-october"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/socaljapan\/21218","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/socaljapan"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/socaljapan"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=21218"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/socaljapan\/21218\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":21219,"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/socaljapan\/21218\/revisions\/21219"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/21220"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=21218"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"socaljapan_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/socaljapan_category?post=21218"},{"taxonomy":"socaljapan_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/socaljapan_tag?post=21218"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
