{"id":21178,"date":"2024-09-22T20:00:29","date_gmt":"2024-09-23T03:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/?post_type=socaljapan&#038;p=21178"},"modified":"2024-09-23T00:46:11","modified_gmt":"2024-09-23T07:46:11","slug":"2024-09-22","status":"publish","type":"socaljapan","link":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/socaljapan\/2024-09-22\/","title":{"rendered":"September 22nd 2024 O.A."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p><\/p>\n<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"> September 22nd 2024 O.A.<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/a3y1b6zhft4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Students from Bizen<\/h2>\n<p>Junior high and high school students of Bizen, Okayama prefecture visited LA.<\/p>\n<p>This tour was organized by Bizen, Okayama prefecture, and 200 junior high and high school students were selected by lottery to experience American history, tradition, and culture.<\/p>\n<p>The tour was divided into 2 sessions of early and late August.<br \/>\nThe second group of about 50 people arrived in LA on August 22nd and visited Little Tokyo to learn about the history of Japanese Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Bizen, Okayama is the hometown of Dodgers pitcher, Yoshinobu Yamamoto.<br \/>\nTherefore, the tour also had the purpose of supporting the Dodgers, and students enjoyed watching a Dodgers game.<\/p>\n<p>Bizen City also established a Friendship City Agreement with the City of Torrance upon their visit, and the two cities will deepen their exchanges in the future.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Ocean Group Seafood Show<\/h2>\n<p>Ocean Group, a wholesaler of seafood in SoCal and other parts of the US, held a seafood show in Irvine on Sunday, September 1st.<\/p>\n<p>This is an annual event held by Ocean Group for their customers working in restaurants and supermarkets making this year the 20th time.
