The gala is held annually as a\u3000fundraiser, and this year is their 47th year.<\/p>\n<p>The program began with the announcement\u3000of the scholarship winners. Then, the\u3000installation ceremony for this year&#8217;s officers\u3000was held, and Colin Kawaguchi was\u3000inaugurated as president.<\/p>\n<p>Two individuals were recognized\u3000and awarded for their contribution\u3000to the community. Michael Yamaki,\u3000who paved the way for Asian\u3000Americans to be promoted to key\u3000positions in the state as the\u3000California Governor&#8217;s Appointments\u3000Secretary.
