Once guests enter the gallery, they will explore Masuda&#8217;s dazzling creativity.<\/p>\n<p>Everything looks colorful and cheerful at first glance.<br \/>\nBut this is \u201cAnger\u201d that is expressed through \u201cKAWAII.\u201d<br \/>\nThis one is \u201cJealousy\u201d expressed through \u201cKAWAII.\u201d<br \/>\nAnd this one is titled \u201cDestroy.\u201d<br \/>\nNot only is it cute and adorable, but various emotions are expressed as well.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition ends with a small room.<br \/>\nThe inner words of Masuda who struggles as an artist, lead to the microcosm expanding within him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, KAWAII is Art \u2013 EXPRESS YOURSELF\u201d is happening at Ovation Hollywood\u2019s 2nd floor JAPAN HOUSE gallery until November 3rd with free admission. For more information, visit the JAPAN HOUSE website.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Caregiver Conferences 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Saturday, April 13th was the Caregiver Conferences at the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center.<\/p>\n<p>This event was held by Keiro that offers various welfare services to the older members of the Japanese American community.<br \/>\nApproximately 140 caregivers participated.<\/p>\n<p>It is said 10 thousand people turn 65 every day in the US, and nursing care has become a major issue for the country.<\/p>\n<p>This year is the 22nd time for Keiro to hold this conference.<br \/>\nThey share essential information and support the lives of elderly members.<\/p>\n<p>Social Worker, Lisa Pahl was invited for the Keynote Presentation and spoke about \u201cHow to discuss issues related to end of life with your care recipient.\u201d<br \/>\nThere, she introduced a card game called \u201cThe Death Deck,\u201d which is useful for discussions on challenging topics.<\/p>\n<p>There was a demonstration of lifting, transferring, and positioning which are essential skills for nursing as well as a lecture on \u201cConnecting the Dots With Technology: Innovative Caregiving Solutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, 14 nursing companies and organizations participated in a Resource Fair to discuss daily issues or nursing plans and services that caregivers face upon providing care.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Japanese Student Association &#8220;UNDOKAI&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>April 14th was the Japanese Student Association (JSA) UNDOKAI Sports Festival at the Bolsa Chica State Beach.<\/p>\n<p>JSA is an organization formed by Japanese and Japanese American college students.<br \/>\nThis UNDOKAI Sports Event was organized by JSA volunteers from SoCal universities for socialization purposes, and this is the 7th year.<br \/>\n9 universities participated.<\/p>\n<p>250 students began the event by doing radio calisthenics as a warmup.<br \/>\nAs corporate booths supporting the event set up, students divided into teams representing their respective universities, competed in staple sport events like: obstacle race, beech flag, 9 legged race, and cavalry battle deepening their friendships.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Pro-Am at Pechanga<\/h2>\n<p>Tuesday, April 9th was the Character Media\u2019s 17th Annual Pro-Am Golf Tournament at Journey at Pechanga.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 17th annual event where LPGA golfers can interact with members of the community, and this is the 11th time that Journey at Pechanga served as the venue.<\/p>\n<p>Journey at Pechanga is a championship golf course adjacent to the Pechanga Resort Casino.<br \/>\nIt is known as a challenging course with gently undulating terrain.<\/p>\n<p>The 30 invited LPGA golfers, mostly of Asian descent, enjoyed playing at Pechanga while interacting with the fans and sponsors who attended.<\/p>\n<p>Pechanga&#8217;s Great Oak Steakhouse, one of the resort&#8217;s fine dining restaurants, has reopened.<br \/>\nThe restaurant offers 8 kinds of steak and guests can enjoy a selection of Japanese Wagyu beef.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the popular Japanese restaurant \u201cUmi Sushi &#038;
