{"id":20828,"date":"2024-04-28T20:00:15","date_gmt":"2024-04-29T03:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/?post_type=socaljapan&#038;p=20828"},"modified":"2024-04-28T14:53:20","modified_gmt":"2024-04-28T21:53:20","slug":"2024-04-28","status":"publish","type":"socaljapan","link":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/socaljapan\/2024-04-28\/","title":{"rendered":"April 28th 2024 O.A."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p><\/p>\n<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"> April 28th 2024 O.A.<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bIQkIdK4tz8\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Charm of Japanese music<\/h2>\n<p>An event happened at Culver City on April 9th to promote the charm of Japanese music to the US, and Japanese all-female band \u201cATARASHII GAKKO!\u201d performed.<\/p>\n<p>This event was held by ATARASHII GAKKO!\u2019s American record label, 88rising to promote Japanese music to the US which JETRO\u2019s LA office cosponsored.<br \/>\nIndustry individuals and media were invited.<\/p>\n<p>The event began by Yusuke Nakagawa representing ASOBISYSTEM, the management company of \u201cATARASHII GAKKO!\u201d stating his greeting.<br \/>\nFollowed by 88rising\u2019s CEO Sean Miyashiro giving his speech stating his strong hopes for Japanese musicians expanding to the US music industry.<\/p>\n<p>88rising is a record label known for working with many Asian artists.<br \/>\nOn April 14th, the company hosted a special stage \u201c88 Rising Futures&#8221; at Coachella, one of the largest music festivals in the US.<br \/>\nAlong with Asia&#8217;s top stars, 4 Japanese artists, \u201cYOASOBI\u201d, \u201cATARASHII GAKKO!\u201d, \u201cAwich\u201d, and \u201cNumber_i\u201d performed at the event.<\/p>\n<p>And appeared \u201cATARASHII GAKKO!\u201d performing 4 songs including their newest number.<br \/>\nThe group made a global debut in 2021 through 88rising and grew into a group with over 15 million followers on their social media accounts.<br \/>\nThey have fans all over the world despite their lyrics being mostly Japanese.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cATARASHII GAKKO!\u201d call themselves \u201cThe representatives of Japanese youth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Sakura Gardens&#8217; Sushi Day<\/h2>\n<p>Saturday, March 30th was \u201cSushi Day\u201d for Sakura Gardens, a retirement home located in Boyle Heights.<\/p>\n<p>This event is held by the Japanese Restaurant Association of America, and sushi chefs served sushi to the residents.<br \/>\nJRA is a nonprofit organization that is made of restaurant managers and food companies.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 25th year for Sushi Day at this retirement home.
