{"id":20242,"date":"2023-06-25T20:00:15","date_gmt":"2023-06-26T03:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/?post_type=socaljapan&#038;p=20242"},"modified":"2023-09-19T02:03:32","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T09:03:32","slug":"2023-06-25","status":"publish","type":"socaljapan","link":"https:\/\/jhollywoodnet.com\/en\/socaljapan\/2023-06-25\/","title":{"rendered":"June 25th 2023 O.A."},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p><\/p>\n<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"> June 25th 2023 O.A.<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iAIdHQn_FOo\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Koreisha Senior Care &#038; Advocacy Bazaar<\/h2>\n<p>Sunday, May 24th was the fundraising bazaar for Koreisha Senior Care &amp; Advocacy (KSCA) in Pasadena.<\/p>\n<p>KSCA is a nonprofit organization with a mission of reintegrating the iconic Japanese American senior facility to the community.<br \/>\n40 organizations and businesses including the Southern California Gardeners Federation, Southern California Japanese American Medical Association, and Japanese Prefectural Associations participated in the event.<\/p>\n<p>Members of each organization brought sundries, ceramics, electronics, and clothes that are looking for the next owner.<br \/>\nCommunity members that came to the event all took their time and looked for that special find.<\/p>\n<p>KSCA was formed in response to the sale of a Japanese American senior facility by Keiro in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The organization aims at the reintegration of the service that provided care based on Japanese values, and also aims to establish a daycare center along with their ultimate goal.<\/p>\n<p>A documentary of the organization was played at the event along with a tea ceremony demonstration. About 400 people came to the event and $11,000 were donated for the cause.<\/p>\n<p>KSCA will continue to hold events so we can all understand the challenges Japanese American seniors are facing as a community.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] June 25th 2023 O.A.
