There also is a Japanese restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>The gallery in the 2nd floor exhibited various forms of Japanese art from high-tech to traditional crafts.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the \u201cBAKERU\u201d exhibition is being held.<\/p>\n<p>It is an interactive art showcasing northern region of Tohoku\u2019s seasonal folk \u201cNamahage\u201d, \u201cShishi-Odori\u201d, \u201cKase-dori\u201d and \u201cSaotome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Attendee\u2019s silhouette transforms into a \u201csupernatural being\u201d once they put on a mask in front of the screen and that puts an emphasis on the nature upon which people\u2019s lives depend.\t<\/p>\n<p>This event is planned by a creative studio in Sendai to spread the Tohoku culture to different generations and regions since the Great Eastern Earthquake made it difficult to pass down local traditions.<\/p>\n<p>BAKERU is held until October 6. Free admission.\t\t<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>JCC  Prime Minister\u2019s Cup Charity Golf Tournament<\/h2>\n<p>Monday, August 26th was the Prime Minister\u2019s Cup Charity Golf Tournament at Palos Verdes.<\/p>\n<p>This golf tournament is held annually by the JCC Foundation and this year is the 21st time.<br \/>\nPlayers competed for the Prime Minister\u2019s Cup donated by the former Prime Minister Obuchi.<\/p>\n<p>120 people participated this year from Japanese businesses and organizations located in SoCal.<\/p>\n<p>A group photo was taken first.<br \/>\nAnd a shotgun start after a putting contest.<\/p>\n<p>With about 200 companies help, many products were awarded for closest to the pin, hole in one and many other awards.<\/p>\n<p>Players from each group enjoyed their own golf under the nice weather as they joked around from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>After the hole out was the award dinner at the clubhouse.<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s higher-ranking winners were announced, and Seiichi Shibata won the tournament with a score of 71.2.<\/p>\n<p>Raffles and silent auction were also held.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] September 8th 2019 O.A.
