The truth behind Natsumi’s murder takes a dramatic turn.

Hayase (Ryohei Suzuki) unexpectedly finds himself caught in a tense encounter when Gido’s wife, Mayu (Meisa Kuroki), suddenly appears and comes face to face with Ichika (Erika Toda).

With the atmosphere thick with tension, Ichika asks Hayase to take Mayu outside. There, he learns that Mayu still harbors deep feelings for Gido (Ryohei Suzuki) and has no intention whatsoever of leaving him. The revelation leaves Hayase speechless.

Still rattled, Hayase returns to the Metropolitan Police Department—only to find Mayu there again, waiting for him. Her unsettling persistence leaves him confused and on edge. Then Makita (Hideaki Ito) and Hijikata (Reika Manaki) of the Second Investigation Division step in. They have already uncovered the connection between Gido and Fuyuhashi (Ren Nagase) and have been quietly pursuing their own investigation into Fuyuhashi’s hidden side.

Even within the police, the net is steadily tightening around Gido.
