Minami (Masaharu Fukuyama), after solving multiple cases with his partner, Shintaro (Yo Oizumi), has formally become part of the First Division. He’s excited to become part of even more cases. Meanwhile, Sakura (Yoh Yoshida) continues to focus harder on her cases.

Kaito Honjo, a scandalous actor, is murdered. The one who found his body was a vetran actor, Jun Hatori (Ken Ishiguro). Minami is a huge fan of the cop drama that Hatori stars in. He heads to the crime scene with Shintaro, who searches the room from top to bottom. However, despite Shintaro asking, Minami doesn’t tell anything what he found, instead testing Shintaro’s investigative skills, believing a partner should understand without saying.

Spurred by Minami’s attitude, Shintaro focuses on the investigation. Meanwhile, Izumi (Ren Nagase) from First Division finds out while investigating with Sakura that Hatori’s co-actress, Mana Shinozuka (Rio Yamashita) had a relationship with Honjo.

The case takes an unexpected turn. Who is the culprit and what is their motive!?
