Surrounded by nature, Japan has always prided in the variety of food ingredients found all across the nation. High-quality and rich flavoring, Japanese food has begun actively reaching out to the world with its potential to be paired with any nation’s cuisine.

We will be stick close to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Japan External Trade Organization in their big project to find the next big item by test marketing the Japanese food at local stores to find what best fits the needs of the global audience. Holding a judging committee in four countries, France, America, Thai and Vietnam, each country’s professional judges will curate which food to be test sold.
As a chance to break new ground in the foreign market, over 700 products were entered from all across Japan. What kind of items will each country’s judges rate and choose!?

And will the next big item appear from the batch of Japanese food that has never been imported before? We followed each judging committee and the Japanese companies that aim to be part of the global market!
