Riku Kariyama (Takuya Kimura) makes a vow to prove his own innocence while his terminally ill wife, Reiko Kariyama (Yuuki Amami) is alive. To turn the tide to his favor, he escapes the prison to retrieve the crucial evidence he had given to his subordinate, Daiki Nagumo (Hayate Ichinose). Worried that the escape from prison would result in a heavier sentence, Reiko meets up with Riku in secret to persuade him to turn himself. However, not wanting to bring shame to his wife, Riku is committed in proving his innocence. But, Reiko confesses to a shocking truth.
