Seinan Koreisha Senior Care

On Saturday, May 2, Seinan Koreisha Senior Care held an Antique and Vintage Sale at the Seinan Center in South Los Angeles.

The event served as a fundraiser for daycare services for Japanese American seniors, with a wide range of donated items offered for sale by community supporters.

Seinan Koreisha Senior Care is a new nonprofit formed through the merger of Koreisha Senior Care & Advocacy, which focuses on developing assisted living services for Japanese American seniors, and Seinan Senior Citizen’s Club, which has long provided community welfare services through the Seinan Center.

Seinan Koreisha Adult Day Care is set to open soon at the Seinan Center.

Applications for the adult day care program are now open.
The Seinan Center is located near the Crenshaw District in South Los Angeles.

Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori Little Tokyo

On May 18, Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori Izakaya officially opened in Little Tokyo.

The Shin-Sen-Gumi Restaurant Group operates fifteen specialty restaurants across the greater Los Angeles area, including ramen, yakitori, and hot pot.
In Little Tokyo, this is the group’s second location, following its ramen shop.

Shin-Sen-Gumi is closely associated with Hakata.
This location also offers Hakata-style yakitori, including items such as shredded cabbage, pork belly skewers, and crispy chicken skin skewers.

The izakaya menu also features many dishes not available at other Shin-Sen-Gumi locations.
Guests can enjoy food and drinks while watching sports on in-store displays.

Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori Izakaya in Little Tokyo is open seven days a week from 5 p.m. to midnight.
Lunch service will be added soon.
