Episode 9

The story enters its final chapter.
With the truth laid bare, a husband and wife strike back.

Hayase (Ryohei Suzuki) rescues Natsumi (Erika Toda) from Fuyuhashi (Ren Nagase). Yet even now, she refuses to accept that she is “Natsumi.” So Hayase speaks to her—not as Gido, but as himself. As her husband. As the father of Takumi (Ko Yazaki). Fighting back tears, he lays everything bare: the guilt of not being able to protect her, the depth of his love, and the family he still refuses to give up on. His unguarded words begin to reach her, shaking her resolve.

At last, Natsumi breaks. Through tears, she apologizes—and finally accepts him.

But to protect their family, there is only one way forward: they must bring down Goroku (Yukiya Kitamura)—and his entire operation. With no turning back, they declare war.

Goroku’s retaliation is immediate and ruthless. He sends his men to the Hayase Patisserie and takes Takumi hostage. With no time to spare, Hayase and Natsumi rush to save him. Will they make it in time?

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Goroku makes his next move—reaching out to Yaichi Makita (Ichikawa Danjuro). The two strike a secret deal, one that threatens to drag the conflict into even darker territory.

Cornered, Hayase turns to Makita (Hideaki Ito) within the police for help—only to uncover a chilling truth: there’s a mole inside the force, working for Goroku. The enemy isn’t just outside—it’s within.

As every faction moves into place, Hayase is pushed to the very edge.

A husband and wife risk everything for the ones they love—
and the final battle begins.
