Episode 7

Chapter Two Begins!
Consumed by the need to avenge his wife, Hayase sets out to bring Ichika down.

One month after the reboot, Hayase (Ryohei Suzuki) is barely recognizable.

He now knows the truth—that Ichika (Erika Toda) killed his wife, and that Gido is dead. With that knowledge, something inside him has quietly changed. The man he once was is gone.

Having grown completely comfortable living as Gido (Ryohei Suzuki), Hayase takes on the investigation of a murder case. The victim is a key business partner of Goroku (Yukiya Kitamura), and the prime suspect is a member of “Shelter,” the group led by Fuyuhashi (Ren Nagase). Working behind the scenes, Hayase quietly steers the police investigation, pressuring Fuyuhashi and Machi (Rinka Ueno) to turn themselves in before the case can reach Goroku. In return, Hayase accepts money from him.

For Fuyuhashi and Kiriya (Ryoka Fujisawa), who were unable to protect one of their own, a deep and simmering anger begins to take hold.

Then Ichika appears.

For the first time since she was revealed as the killer, the two stand face to face. Hayase keeps his fury tightly under control—but Ichika can see straight through the mask he’s wearing.

Not long after, Hayase secretly approaches Machi, asking for her help in avenging Natsumi’s death. As he tracks Ichika’s movements, a series of unexpected actions comes to light. Armed with this information, Hayase reaches out to Fuyuhashi as well—but when he hears it, Fuyuhashi explodes with anger.

Why does it provoke such fury?
What has Ichika really been doing?
And what is Hayase hiding?

As betrayal and revenge collide, the simmering rage finally reaches its breaking point.
