Summer 2017. After achieving their goal of one win during summer, Etsuzen High School passes through the first match in preliminaries after 12 years. They are in a good pace in their 2nd match against a strong opponent, Iga Shogyo, however after Nire’s (Shunpei Ikuta) miss, they begin to fall apart and unfortunately loses. Unable to recover from the shock of losing a match they could’ve won, the members are listless and Yamazumi (Haru Kuroki) falls ill with a fever from the guilt…
But Nagumo (Ryohei Suzuki) returns as a coach to fulfill his promise to the members of coming back if they win one match! With the return of Mika (Haruka Igawa) from Tokyo giving him an extra boost of enthusiasm, Nagumo is determined to inspire the discouraged club members to gain real-world experience by arranging practice matches against other schools one after another. However, there is something going on with Nire who had been absent from club activities since the preliminaries.
On top of that, Inuzuka (Fumiyo Kohinata) and Niwa (Koutarou Koizumi) are not happy with Nagumo’s return as a coach…
