Nagumo (Ryohei Suzuki) confesses to Yamazumi (Hana Kuroki) that he has been teaching without a license. On top of that, he was planning to quit being a teacher after the end of the year and cannot continue coaching the baseball club. Although they were soundly defeated in the practice match against Hoshiba Highschool, Yamazumi had sensed potential in team so this news shocks her greatly.

Meanwhile, the students of Etsuzan Highschool are harassed by local workers at the batting center. Soma (Toranosuke Kobayashi), a student of Nagumo and the younger brother of the baseball club captain, Hioki (Araki Sugo), responds to provoking and ends up escalating the situation to assault.

Mika (Haruka Igawa), Nagumo’s wife, is asked by her former workplace to return for a year. With her unable to leave the children and go to Tokyo, Nagumo cannot come clean about his lack of teaching license…
