Minami (Masaharu Fukuyama) and Shintaro (Yo Oizumi) go to visit Shintaro’s biological father, Kamata (Kenjiro Tsuneda) in prison after 41 years, but was unable to meet him because of his grave condition.

Kamata, the only one to know the truth of the case from 41 years ago, had only a little to live. With the time limit coming close, Izumi (Ren Nagase) and Agatsuma (Mio Imada) offers to help.

Meanwhile, the head of the financial world, Yumizuka (Renji Ishibashi) hears from his son-in-law Kyogo (Takaya Kamikawa) that the case was being investigated again.

That’s when the first witness of the case from 41 years ago, former Divison One chief, Yamafuji (Akio Kaneda), comes to visit Tokyo from Gotemba. Yamafuji is a senior detective that Shintaro and Sakura (Yo Yoshida) trust, but Minami finds the way his talks about the case odd.
