Minami (Masaharu Fukuyama), shortly after arriving, brings in Agatsuma (Mio Imada) as a member of the Personnel Interchange Planning Office. Shintaro (Yo Oizumi) isn’t happy with how Minami does things without any discussion.

A woman is found dead strangled at a riverbed in the Tokyo suburbs. Minami invites himself to Sakura’s (Yoh Yoshida) team to correctly deduce the body’s estimated time of death and method of death. On the other hand, Shintaro realizes from the body’s state and the scent that it’s similar to a case he handled in the past.

It happened 12 years ago. Dr. Aoyagi (Shinya Hamada) had strangled one of his female patients. At the time, Shintaro used aggressive methods to arrest Aoyagi and make him confess. Aoyagi had now been released and has been living with journalist, Shinjo (Akira 100%).

When Minami and Shintaro visit Shinjo’s house, Aoyagi claims he was innocent of the crime from 12 years ago. He also exposes Shintaro’s shocking secret which brings suspicion to Shintaro having falsely arrested for the case from 12 years ago and might even be the true culprit.
