Episode 1

Hiromi Minami (Masaharu Fukuyama), a blind FBI investigator, is called Last Man thanks to his ability to close any case. To strengthen ties between the FBI and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, he’s come to Japan for a temporary stay. Ordered to attend to Minami is Shintaro Godo (Yo Ooizumi), the head of the National Police Agency’s (NPA) Personnel Interchange Planning Office. He is a detective who despises evil and will take any measures necessary to catch the suspect.

The two’s first meeting is a disaster. Shintaro’s first assignment is to escort Minami to his own Welcome Ceremony where Shinatro’s older brother and Deputy Director General of the NPA. However, Shinatro finds out Minami had assaulted someone on the flight over and was taken to the police station. But when he hurries to pick up Minami, he finds himself at a soba shop. In contrast to Shintaro’s panicked state, Minami is relaxed and acts as if he can read Shinataro’s mind. On top of that, Minami goes off to declare during the ceremony he will arrest the suspect of the indiscriminate serial bomber that is plaguing the city. Shintaro is dragged into Minami’s self-indulgent investigation. Madoka Sakura (Yoh Yoshida) of the First Investigation Division is the lead detective in this case, making Shintaro the target of complains from them. To make things worse, Minami openly criticizes the way First Division is building their case.

When a new bombing occurs, Minami and Shintaro heads to the scene of crime to investigate. What is the truth of the crime that comes to light!?
