Akihiro Munekata (Ryoma Takeuchi), a passionate correctional officer at a regional prison who faces inmates with sincerity, makes a fateful decision one night. He secretly lends his cell phone to an inmate, gang member Yozaki (Koen Kondo), hoping that hearing his young daughter’s voice will inspire him to reform.

Soon after, inmate Hirukawa (Akira Emoto), who shows signs of dementia, collapses in critical condition after mistakenly swallowing his medication. Chief Officer Junichi Kamada (Kazuki Kitamura) schemes a cover-up, while Munekata clashes with senior correctional officer Tsukasa Hiishi (Fumino Kimura), who is in charge of the investigation.

Meanwhile, recently paroled former inmate Genda (Dai Watanabe) goes missing. To protect the prison’s reputation, Munekata sets out to track him down, uncovering a mysterious letter and a woman named Mikage (Mari Hoshino).

What began as a single act of “compassion” soon spirals into a crisis that threatens to shake the entire prison to its core.
